  • What is Wheels 2U Westport?

    Wheels2U Westport is your on-demand shuttle for safe, convenient, and affordable travel around town. Enjoy curb-to-curb service that fits your lifestyle, with reliable rides when and where you need them.

  • Where does it run?

    To and from anywhere in Westport and the 

     Train Stations:  Rides must begin or end at either the Saugatuck or Greens Farms train station

            Senior Center, Farmers’ Market and Jesup Green/Library:  Rides must begin or end at one of these locations.


  • When does it run?

    Train Station –Monday through Friday

           Book rides between 5:30 AM and 10:30 AM and again between 4 PM and 9:30 PM


    Senior Center, Farmers’ Market and Jesup Green/Library—Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays only

          Book rides between 9 AM and 1:30 PM

           Bus stops at the entrance to the Senior Center, the Imperial Ave. entrance to the Farmers’ Market (50 Imperial Ave.), and Jesup Green at the corner of Taylor Place and Jesup Rd. in front of the Westport Book shop (the old Minnybus stop)


  • When should I request a ride to my destination.

    For your first few trips, we recommend requesting a ride about 20 minutes before you would typically leave to go to your destination. Once your ride is booked, you will receive an estimated time of arrival at your home or place of business and be able to track the vehicle on its way to you in real time. You'll be able to refine the estimated lead time based on your own experience once you've used Wheels2U a few times. 

  • Can I take Wheels2U Westport to or from locations other than the train station?

    Yes! While Wheels2U Westport connects riders to the Saugatuck and Greens Farms train stations on weekdays (excluding holidays), it also goes beyond the train. On Tuesdays through Thursdays, you can ride to the Senior Center, Farmer’s Market, and Jesup Green — all within Westport!

  • When should I request a ride when I arrive at the station on a Metro-North train?

    Please request a ride when you are at, or almost at, the station. Once your ride is booked, you will receive an estimated time of arrival and be able to track the location of your ride in real time. (Your vehicle may already be at the station waiting for you.) Please board at the designated pickup location. There may be other vehicles waiting nearby, so look for the vehicle license plate displayed in the Wheels 2U App to make sure you're getting on the right shuttle.

  • Where will the Wheels2U vehicle meet me at the train station?

    Westport Train Station (Saugatuck)

    On the west-bound side of the platform - on Franklin Street or on Railroad Place near the elevators.


    Greens Farms Train Station

    In the large commuter parking lot, just west of New Creek Road.

    Entrance to the Farmers’ Market and Imperial Avenue.


    Jesup Green

  • How much does it cost?

    The cost is $2 per ride. 

    No - Show trips will be charged for the full cost of the fare.

  • Can I pay cash?

    No

  • Can I get a weekly or monthly pass?

    Not at this time.

  • Is it accessible to people with disabilities?

    Yes! Just request a wheelchair accessible vehicle when booking the ride.
